What do I need to become a HOST?

The only thing you need to become a HOST is “Passion”. Passion for your city, passion for your your culture and passion for people. The HOST’s only responsibility is to give the GUEST a memorable and authentic experience!

What kind of experience should I offer?

On a GUEST’s point of view, the perfect “Experience” is the one that reflects the spirit and customs of your city. An “experience” is a combination of discovery, culture, human relationship and fun. Give your GUEST a story to tell when they come back home!

How do I set up my price?

The price you ask for an “Experience” is fully at your discretion. However our recommendation is to evaluate the value of what you are offering versus what your GUEST can get for that money in the city you live in. The more “fair” is your pricing, the more attractive you become for a GUEST looking for an “Experience”. You can re-adjust your price at anytime or offer different pricing for different group size.

Do I have to pay taxes?

As a local HOST, you are fully responsible to respect the local legislation, including Taxes. We do not collect or manage tax on your behalf. We recommend that you check with your local authorities about taxes and regulation.

What are the fees?

There are no fees at Go2Locals. Our platform is completely free for both HOST and GUEST. Our goal is to connect as many people as possible; therefore we believe that making the service free will encourage more HOST to offer real authentic experiences, and more GUEST to try this alternative way of discovering a new city…

What is the cancelation policy?

The cancelation policy is entirely up to the HOST. However a clear statement of the HOST cancelation policy must be communicated and acknowledge by the GUEST before booking.

Why should I leave feedback?

The Go2Locals platform is 100% based on trust. The more feedback and rating a member gets (HOST or GUEST) the better it is. This will allow members to get a better understanding of whom they will be dealing with. If there was a negative experience, mention it! If they experience was awesome, talk about it. The few minutes that the review will take will be highly appreciated by the community and will make the Go2Locals platform a better and more accurate tool!

Why should I book through Go2Locals?

Go2Locals is a young platform and is completely free to use, both for the HOST and the GUEST. By providing a free service, we aim at becoming the biggest platform connecting “Local talent” and “Experience seekers”. At Go2Locals we believe in the economy of sharing. Sharing of culture, sharing of experiences and sharing of wealth. When you accept to pay a fee for an authentic experience, 100% of the money goes back to the local HOST, which in many case have a huge social impact.v

Can I trust the HOST?

The Go2Locals platform is 100% based on trust. The feedback and rating aims at giving members a better idea of what you will be dealing with. If a HOST has received no feedback yet, it is not necessary a bad thing. Go2Locals is a young platform and new members are joining every day. If it is the case, we hope that you will give this new member a chance and give the first rating!
